Following on from our Spring 2017 newsletter, Philip Dine considers the impact of EPC regulations an…
Philip is a real estate finance lawyer in Clarion’s banking team. He has broad sector experience acting for both funders and borrowers, with a key focus on financing commercial property portfolios and in development finance transactions. He also has considerable experience in the private rented sector.
Some of Philip’s notable experience includes:
- Acting in the re-finance of a portfolio of 1,500 units on a single tranche facility
- Acting on multiple development finance transactions, from single tenant forward funds to multi-let self-build programmes
- Advising several funders on process changes to improve ‘time to cash’
“I really enjoy the work I do and this translates into a real commitment to getting the job done, whichever side of the fence I am on and whatever type of transaction I am handling. I approach all transactions in the same way – pragmatically and with an open mind and an enthusiasm to make the deal work (often assisting clients to structure transactions before heads of terms stage). I pride myself on my technical ability and regularly advise in-house legal teams on process improvements and on legal issues associated with taking security.
Whilst I have considerable experience in real estate finance, I also regularly act for asset based lenders and invoice discounters, which means that I am able to handle all the financing needs of a client.”
