"I am proud to be a part of such an innovative law firm which offers its clients more than just legal advice, and am enjoying developing my skills as a Trainee Solicitor whilst working alongside Clarion’s experienced and commercially-focused lawyers. I really like developing a relationship with clients and becoming part of their team of trusted advisers.
During my time as a Paralegal in the Banking and Finance Team, I acted for asset based lenders and invoice discounters, which means that I am familiar with the financing process. Dealing with real estate as security in these banking transactions really developed my interest in property, and I was able to strengthen my knowledge in this area by completing a seat in the Property team. In this seat I was able to support my colleagues in a large range of property transactions, from the purchase of a development site for one of the UK’s largest housebuilders to the lease of a showroom for an architectural products firm.
During my seat in the Employment Team, I had the opportunity to act for large corporates, owner managed businesses and individuals, which allowed me to deal with transactions which presented lots of different challenges and different perspectives. Often, our work involved acting as an extension of business client’s HR Team, which meant identifying a client’s needs and advising them accordingly, whilst providing any necessary employment law training to support their development.
During my seat in the Family Team, I enjoyed acting for individuals and focusing on protecting their rights and achieving the best outcome for them at a time where they are often experiencing sadness, anger and confusion. I found this work very rewarding."
