Sophie has 15 years’ experience in real estate litigation and has extensive experience in all areas of real estate litigation.
“I enjoy working with the wide variety of issues and quirks property litigation involves. From managing property portfolios, to obtaining vacant possession of residential and commercial properties, to reviewing ancient deeds to unpick any potential pitfalls to a development site, no two days are ever the same.
Over the years I have developed a particular expertise in retail corporate occupiers and acted for a wide range of landlords and tenants. Working on both sides of the fence often allows an insight into the arguments and issues you are likely to face - forewarned is forearmed. I have extensive experience of all areas of estate management including lease renewals, rent reviews, break clauses, dilapidations and applications for consent and have worked with clients of all sizes and dealt with properties with all complexities. My focus is on achieving the client’s aims in a straightforward and cost effective manner.
I have also acted on multi-party litigation and professional negligence matters. I have acted in court proceedings, mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
My strength lies in being able to deal with the legal issues whilst understanding and implementing the commercial objectives of our clients.”
