Clare advises clients across Yorkshire and nationally on a wide range of private client matters from wills and estate planning, to probate, estate administration, disabled trusts and mental capacity issues.
“I enjoy working with a really diverse range of people. My strength lies in cutting through the jargon and translating my in depth technical legal know-how into practical and understandable answers to help clients navigate through some of the most trying times in their lives.
“Providing expert legal advice in a clear and professional manner, I advise individuals, whatever their wealth, on estate planning and Inheritance Tax mitigation. I guide bereaved families through the process of administering the estate of a deceased loved one, including advice when a probate dispute arises. I regularly advise elderly and vulnerable people who wish to put in place wills, powers of attorney or trusts, as well as relatives and carers who are concerned about the mental capacity of a relative of friend. I work closely with disabled people and their families too, planning for future care and safeguarding financial assets and advising on a wide range of issues relating to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
“I’m also proud to be involved with the setting up of Bequest; a panel of Private Client Lawyers in Leeds, on which I sit with three other local firms. The aim is to provide access to quality legal services in the Private Client field from members who have all signed up to a service quality guarantee.
