Redrow Homes has started work on the first phase of an 11 acre site in Wakefield which will provide 116 new homes.
Located off Ruskin Avenue, the new Scholars Gate development will offer a range of three and four-bedroom homes. Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), advised by Leeds legal firm Clarion, exchanged contracts in 2010 and has now obtained planning permission for the first phase of development.
Simon Prest, senior land manager of Redrow Homes, said: “This is the first time we have worked with Clarion and the property team has provided a good service throughout this fairly lengthy and complex process.”
Martin Grange, partner at Clarion, commented: “This has been a complicated transaction from negotiating with the landowners through to obtaining planning permission, it’s great to see work starting on the first new homes.”
Clarion’s property team offers a full range of services from developer, investment, asset management, corporate occupier work through to secured lending.
