The Yorkshire Post is set to launch its annual Christmas auction – and there are some great prizes up for grabs.
The appeal – in support of the Alzheimer’s Society – commences on Saturday 9 November, allowing everyone to bid for the auction prizes over the following five weeks.
The lots this year include some real added value prizes. You can bid for VIP meet and greet tickets for the ‘Scouting for Girls’ band at the O2 Arena in Leeds or take a tour of the set of popular ITV soap Emmerdale. Other lots include front row seats at Yorkshire theatres and a chance to meet pantomime actors; tours of London’s Reform Club and the House of Commons; Jet2 tickets to a top European destination; and even a trip round leading bakery company, Greggs.
“When asked to be sponsors of this year’s Yorkshire Post Xmas Charity Appeal in support of the Alzheimer’s Society it was a very easy decision for us to make. Our private client team regularly work with the Society providing advice to their service users and their families on the Mental Capacity Act, putting in place Lasting Power of Attorney and other legal issues that people face after a diagnosis of dementia.
"One of the most distressing and difficult issues facing many families is caring for loved ones who are no longer able to live independently or conduct their own affairs through the onset of dementia, and we do all we can to help make things that little bit easier. By sponsoring this Charity we at Clarion are doing our little bit to reinforce our commitment to the fight against dementia. There are a fabulous selection of prizes on offer and we really do encourage you to get online, review the packages available and get bidding.”
