Jonathan Simms in the corporate team advised the family on the share sale.
Medvance, a clinical research and resourcing organisation based in North Yorkshire, has been acquired by US-headquartered laboratory testing business NAMSA.
The deal will add support across the UK and continental Europe to NAMSA's footprint in the US, Germany, France and China.
NAMSA said that by combining the two companies, it has experts in nearly every therapeutic area to accelerate product development, market approval and extend market acceptance in major markets around the globe.
"NAMSA is pleased to now be able to offer Medvance's regulatory, clinical and resourcing services along with our world-class expertise in R&D, biocompatibility and clinical research," said NAMSA chief executive John Gorski.
Medvance will be renamed as NAMSA Medvance with Benaddi staying on in an executive role.
