Due to such high demand the organisers of the Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10K, which takes place on Sunday 4th July, have announced the imminent closure of the 2010 Clarion Corporate Challenge.

Almost  50 businesses from across the region have already signed up to support one of Yorkshire's leading charity events by entering their own corporate team. Race organisers are now urging any companies not already registered to do so before the 1st June to avoid disappointment.

Mike Tomlinson said: "The response the corporate challenge has received this year has been overwhelming. It's great to see a wider span of the business community supporting the event, their involvement over the years has been one of the keys to making the Leeds 10K the successes it is.  We hope to continue to build on this success and in turn continue to raise thousands of pounds for charities across the region."

Companies who register to take part in this year's corporate challenge will receive company branded t-shirts; inclusion on the 10K website; hospitality and networking event at the Queen's Hotel on the 30th June; team photographs and corporate prizes.

Roger Hutton, senior partner at Clarion said: "We're proud to once again be sponsoring this fantastic event and it's great to see more businesses than ever taking part.  It's the perfect opportunity for team building and networking as well as raising much needed funds for either the Jane Tomlinson Appeal  or any charity close to your heart."

The 2009 Leeds 10K raised a fantastic £300,000 for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and the Leeds 10K partner charities: Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, Macmillan, Martin House Children's Hospice, the children's medical charity Sparks and Yorkshire Cancer Centre.  In addition, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal was able to offer an additional £100,000 to be shared by the partner charities for nominated projects.
