Proud sponsors of the St Gemma’s Hospice Sport Celebrity Quiz and Dinner
Clarion has once again supported St Gemma’s Hospice by sponsoring one of its key fundraising events, the ninth Annual Questions of Sport Celebrity Quiz and Dinner. This year, Jack Brooks truly was the star of the show, after taking five wickets against Derbyshire, he then bowled over the crowd at the charity event, as did Stuart Lancaster.
Guests at the event were treated to a three course meal and six rounds of sporting questions hosted by Stuart Lancaster, Keith Senior, Terry Yorath, David Stone, Tandi Gerrard, Adrian Hinchcliffe and Jack Brooks. Harry Gration was the overall host throughout the evening, drumming up the guests to get involved in the fundraising on the night, resulting in a tremendous win for the Hospice who raised an incredible £16,845 for patient care.
Congratulations to the team from Towry who went head to head in a tie break and clinched the win to raise the trophy.
St. Gemma’s thanked all of the sporting heroes who kindly gave their time to take part in the event, as well as Clarion who were once again the main sponsors of the event. Thank you also to round sponsors and all of the guests who made the event an amazing success. St Gemma’s Hospice, based in Moortown, Leeds, provides specialist medical and nursing care for local people with life limiting illnesses, and support for their families too. Care is provided free of charge to patients and their families so St Gemma's relies heavily on donations and fundraising carried out by the local community.
