Calling all businesses in Yorkshire to take the challenge!
They say in business the stakes are high, and no more so than for the companies across Yorkshire which are gearing up to take part in this year’s Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge, which was launched today.
After sponsoring the Corporate Challenge for the last five years, we are taking training seriously this year and our team are already in training to reach race-day fitness!
The 2012 Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge will take place as part of the Leeds 10K on Sunday 8 July.
Now in its sixth year, the challenge offers companies across Yorkshire the chance to unite their employees in a team-building event like no other. With a social networking event before race-day, corporate hospitality on the day itself and, of course, the trial of the 10K run itself, the challenge enables businesses to contribute to some of the region’s most deserving charities while bringing their employees together.
Last year’s Corporate Challenge saw 750 runners battle it out in the name of business, and in this summer of sport, 2012 looks set to be its biggest year yet.
Roger Hutton, senior partner at Clarion, said: “Every year, the Corporate Challenge seems to get bigger and better – it’s fantastic to see so many of the region’s businesses supporting this phenomenal charity event, but this year there will be more pressure than ever for Team Clarion to finally bring in a gold.”
The Leeds 10K Corporate Challenge is open to teams of ten or more and includes a business networking event with a difference, to be held the week before the race. This year’s event will aim to capture the excitement of this summer of sport with an ‘alternative Olympics’ theme and BBQ.
