We will again be sharing our expertise with students at the Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College’s Law Academy as part of a mentoring programme.
The scheme is this year being provided to another 11 students as well as being offered to second year students who were supported by the Clarion team last year.
As well as continuing to mentor students who started the two year scheme last year, the additional 11 pupils at the college in Leeds will be paired up with mentors from Clarion, ranging from paralegals and trainee solicitors through to partners.
Meeting the 16 and 17 year old students at least twice a term over two academic years, the lawyers will work with the students to offer advice and support them in their studies and careers choices.
Our joint managing partner , Roger Hutton, said: "It’s really satisfying to be involved in a scheme like this which not only helps the pupils with their studies, but also increases their confidence and aspirations and, hopefully, inspires them to pursue a career in law. As mentors, it’s refreshing to see the students’ enthusiasm and their development; we’re happy to play a part in encouraging bright young talent into the legal profession."
