Those 3 little words do matter in a relationship

Comments

Valentine Day has now been and gone and I was interested to read some research commissioned by AXA as part of their “Little Things Mean a Lot” campaign.

The study surveyed 5,000 adults and the research concludes by listing the top 10 little things that mean a lot in a relationship to men and women. It was interesting to read that a goodbye kiss or someone simply saying “I love you” were enough to keep people happy and in a relationship. Interestingly, the research revealed, that, as I had thought, Valentines Day is a day that brings lots of pressure and people feel the need to buy a card and/or gift, because it is expected rather than because they want to.
In case you are interested, here is the list!

Men

Goodbye kiss in the morning
Going out for dinner.
Unprompted declaration of love
Date night
Romantic weekend away
Romantic walk
Having your favourite meal cooked for you
Being bought a gift for no reason
Flirtatious text or phone messages
Being bought flowers

Women

Goodbye kiss in the morning
Unprompted declaration of love
Date night
Going out for dinner
Romantic walk
Being bought a gift for no reason
Romantic weekend away
Having your favourite meal cooked for you
Being bought flowers
Flirtatious text or phone messages

So small gestures such as the words “I love you” are at the top of the list in things that mean a lot in a relationship.
