....including Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney.
We have noticed a sharp rise in the number of clients querying whether the costs claimed on their Power of Attorney matters are reasonable and proportionate in accordance with Part 44.3 of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
In light of these recent demands, the Clarion Costs Team has introduced a brand new service tailored specifically for Attorneys! The service involves an experienced Law Costs Draftsman being instructed to cross reference your file(s) against your invoices raised to ensure that the costs being claimed are reasonable and proportionate. We have already carried out several Power of Attorney Costs Reviews which have resulted in more costs being recovered than the Attorney had originally billed!
Positive feedback has been received from our clients stating that the file reviews have provided the Attorney with peace of mind that their matter is being billed correctly. Clients have also informed that, by following the professional advice from their Law Costs Draftsman, their understanding of what can and cannot be claimed on Power of Attorney matters has improved significantly.
If you feel that this service may be useful to you, please do not hesitate to contact the Clarion Costs Team on 0113 246 0622. Furthermore, please feel free to ring us should you have any queries in respect of the recovery of your Court of Protection costs as we are happy to assist you.
