On 19th May 2014 members of the Private Client Team at Clarion attended the Leeds Dementia Action Alliance open meeting at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. In attendance were a variety of organisations from around the Leeds area who are already part of, or wish to become part of, the DAA.
The Leeds DAA is made up of local organisations committed to improving the quality of life for all people with dementia and their carers. Each organisation, such as Clarion, has created an Action Plan outlining the improvements they will make to support people affected by dementia.
At the meeting lawyers from the Private Client Team at Clarion were proud to receive a certificate and a Dementia Friendly recognition symbol to acknowledge Clarion’s work towards becoming dementia friendly.
At the meeting we were also advised of a new and interesting dementia initiative from the West Yorkshire Playhouse, detailed below.
