You may be aware of an article I wrote last month with regards to the Legal Services Commission's Litigator Fee Scheme and how providers are often facing difficulties getting paid for the work they have done.  It appears that the LSC is trying to appease this by increasing the frequency of payments.

The previous arrangement was one contract run and two settlements per month but LSC guidance states that "the following arrangements have been introduced:

The new payment system should ensure that money is paid to providers much sooner after a claim is put in than it previously was, which is good news in the current economic climate.

It will be interesting to see how much of a difference the more frequent payments make to providers and how well the new arrangement works in practice.
