The Firm traces its origins back to 1983, when the firm known as McCormicks Solicitors was founded in Leeds. In 1987, a separate firm of the same name began trading in Harrogate, having some partners in common with the Leeds firm. In 2007 the Leeds and Harrogate firms conclusively parted company. The Leeds firm was renamed Clarion and trades on in Leeds with the same personnel as before, minus three of its partners, who now trade under the style McCormicks Solicitors in Harrogate.
Clarion now practices from offices in Leeds City Centre. It has 17 partners and a total of some 60 lawyers. Its total staffing comes to over 100. The firm is established as one of the outstanding legal practices in Leeds and the North of England.
