Clarion in Premier League win
24.03.10
Leeds based Clarion has acted successfully for the Premier League in a claim against sports photographer Leo Mason.
Leo Mason has agreed that in future he will not, without the appropriate permission, publish, reproduce or distribute photographs taken under the photographic licence regimes operated by the Premier League, Football League, Football Association and UEFA for use in publications which are not permitted.
Mr Mason also agreed to pay £25,000.00 in compensation to the Premier League.
The Premier League was represented by John Mackle, senior associate at Clarion.
The settlement with Leo Mason follows an earlier settlement with publisher, LCD Publishing Limited, in which Clarion also acted and in which LCD agreed not to publish such magazines and agreed to pay an undisclosed amount of compensation.
