Clarion Solicitors has further strengthened its growing team of experts in family law with the appointment of another partner, Justine Osmotherley, who will lead the family department.

Formerly a senior associate with the firm, Justine joined Clarion in 2008 having spent 12 years with Shulmans Solicitors where she worked her way up from being a newly qualified solicitor to the head of the private client department.  She specialises in family law, predominantly dealing with complex divorce cases.  Justine has a reputation as an expert in this area, often acting for professional clients both in the UK and abroad, dealing with high net worth assets involving pensions, companies and trusts.

As well as advising on all aspect of divorce, financial and children matters, Justine is an Accredited Member of Resolution with areas of specialism in Advanced Financial Provision and Domestic Abuse.  She is a collaborative lawyer, working with other lawyers and their respective clients to find solutions to the problems that face many couples when a relationship breaks down.  Justine is also a Committee Member and the Membership Development Officer of North and West Yorkshire Resolution and the Public Relations Officer for Leeds Law Society.

“Justine has more than earned her new position as partner.  She has played a key role in establishing the family department as one of the major players in the region over the last 12 months,” explains Mark Burns, managing partner of Clarion Solicitors. “As head of the family department, we are confident that she will continue to ensure that clients’ needs are met by providing outstanding quality of service and working closely with other specialisms, such as private client and corporate and commercial, to give a full service offering.”

Justine comments, “I originally joined Clarion because of the high calibre of clients that the firm attracts and its commitment to providing a great client service, delivered with integrity and personality whilst also taking a commercial approach.   As a dynamic, energetic and relatively young firm, I have been able to use my business development and marketing skills to really make a difference.

“We have built up a great team of family lawyers at Clarion and I am looking forward to the challenge of continuing to develop this area of the firm.”
