Simon is a highly rated commercial litigator dealing with all aspects of commercial dispute resolution including all forms of Court proceedings and injunctions as well as the varying forms of alternative dispute resolution: mediation, arbitration and adjudication.
Simon has advised on many high value commercial disputes and has a broad commercial dispute practice which includes disputes relating to commercial contracts, real estate, professional negligence, partnerships and shareholders, defamation, guarantees and fraud. Simon successfully represented the FA Premier League and 14 Premier League Clubs in the Court of Appeal in the widely reported case against the sticker album producer Panini (UK) Ltd for injunctive relief and damages as a result of Panini's infringement of intellectual property rights.
Simon read Law at Leeds University and subsequently trained at Hammonds qualifying in 1994, staying there until 2002. He joined Clarion as a partner in 2002. Simon is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and is also on the committee of the Leeds Law Society.
Simon Young is “an accomplished negotiator and is particularly admired for his work in high-value claims.” He is currently acting in a case worth £26 million, and has advised The FA Premier League, Liverpool FC and Arsenal FC on IP disputes. (Chambers UK, 2010)
