Corporate Challenge Pasta Party
On Thursday 18th June we hosted the Corporate Challenge Pasta Party at Casa Mia Millennium Square. All Corporate Challenge participants are invited to this pre-race event for a celebratory drink and the opportunity to meet the competition! It is our way of saying thank you for taking part in and supporting this fantastic event and cause.
Duncan Wood and Christine Talbot from Calendar News joined in the celebrations on the evening as well as members of the Leeds Rhinos team.
Mike Tomlinson and his daughters Suzanne and Rebecca wished the runners well in the race.
Corporate Challenge, Pre-race training
In the weeks prior to the Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10K, teams who entered the Corporate Challenge were offered to train with professional coaches and were also joined by guest of honour Mike Tomlinson, who ran with them during one of the Corporate Challenge training sessions.
Twice a week in May, employees from corporate teams, donned their running shoes and were put through their paces by personal trainers as well as receiving top tips on how to maximise their fitness in preparation for this year's race.
Commented Mike Tomlinson: "It's fantastic to see so many companies from the across the city take part and show such dedication to our charity. Despite the credit crunch - we've still had a great take-up from businesses and we thank Clarion for sponsoring the Corporate and Team Challenges for the third year in a row."
Richard Moran, Clarion Partner: "The Corporate Challenge is a great way for businesses to encourage their staff to enter the Leeds 10k and the thousands of other competitors in raising an enormous sum of money for good causes."
"Our team has trained hard and we're looking forward to making our bid for first place. Having Mike down today has left everyone determined to raise as much money as possible and record their very best time on the day."
Mike Tomlinson and his daughters Suzanne and Rebecca wished the runners well in the race.
